2. I didn't feel like redoing the whole bank again would help me a lot. I switched to Kaplan, and I believe it was the right thing to do. IMO there is a definite number of high yield concepts that is tested on Step 1, and they affect your score the most. However, the same concept could be asked from a different angle.

The questions found within immense question bank were absolutely crucial to my success and mastery of Step 1 topics. The detailed answers and diagrams found alongside each question were some of the best I have seen out there. The question were difficult and full of high-yield concepts. COVID really screwed everything up for me. I had to do a surgery rotation between my study time. I focused a lot on content and questions. I would read about 40 pages of FA a day followed up my 50 Uworld questions and 40 kaplan questions. All of my nbme exams ranged from 224 to 240. My last test before the real thing I got a 232 on nbme 23. On one hand you have the undisputed standard for step 1 questions, Kaplan qbank. On the other hand you have an unestablished brand new question bank, qmax. I think the choice is obvious The only advantage that qmax might have is that it's cheaper.
